Pediatric Medication Dosing

[Length: 1 min 04 sec]
The importance of making sure medication dosing is accurate can be a matter of life and death; and even more so for children and adolescents. As a pediatrician, we want to make sure that you have all the latest tools and technology to insure your accuracy when entering data.

Access to Real-Time Dosing Information

With a single click a provider has access to recommended dosing information while writing a prescription. TriMed offers real-time access to the Lexicomp/Multum-Data database to allow providers immediate dosing information.

Quick Picks

Quick Picks allow a user to quickly pick standard options. Our technology allows these options to be gathered on a practice or provider basis and gets smarter the longer you use it.

Auto Calculations Based off of Typical Dispensing

When writing an Rx for a mother to give to her child, we want to make dosing as easy as possible. Our system allows a user to auto calculate dispensing so that it will automatically round up or down. We do not want mom wondering how to give 3.2 mL and we save the provider time by letting the computer do the work.

Daily Max

Daily Max acts as a safety precaution when writing a prescription. Setup in the back-end, the system recognizes when a higher dose than allowed is entered into the prescription fields. This is very valuable when it comes to typos and miscalculations.

Typical Dosing Recommendations

This tool allows users to view typical ways of writing a specific drug by diagnosis and treatment plans and can also be setup to display individual alerts. For each individual drug you can also set a Daily Max and Per Dose Max.
